been experimenting with smaller scales portrait. initially i was trying to train myself into painting smaller faces. i find that whenever i try to paint like one inch face, it never looks good. so i thought about buying small stretched canvas and painting on these instead. my plan in to paint these faces smaller each time so that in the end i’ll be able to do it in a smaller scale in the future. the first few ones took up the whole canvas. but i’m sure i’ll do better next time…
